21. Reed bed

The reed bed is a distinctive feature of lake areas, and the surroundings of Peschiera del Garda have always been rich in it. Many bird species nest within it, and it provides shelter for numerous species of fish. This reed bed can only survive in very clean waters and is a clear indicator of the good ecological health of Lake Garda.
