Navigarda

It is possible to embark, from the central port of Peschiera del Garda, on the Navigarda boats, a historic company that has been navigating the waters of Lake Garda since the 19th century, and discover the many villages along the coasts, without using the car, in total freedom and relaxation. The professionalism and tradition that distinguish Navigarda will allow you to enjoy a unique and unforgettable experience because, as the poet Goethe said: “How much I wish my friends were for a moment next to me and could enjoy the view that stands before me! Tonight I could have reached Verona but I would have missed a wonder of nature, an enchanting sight, Lake Garda: I didn’t want to miss it, and I was magnificently rewarded for this diversion”.

Navigarda is active on the lake with a total of 22 boats: 15 motorboats, 3 hydrofoils and 4 catamarans.

Fishing Museum

You can visit the Fishing Museum, a museum that tells the story of the city and fishing on Lake Garda. In fact, Peschiera del Garda takes its name from the “Peschiere”, that is to say, ancient fixed fishing stations that once stood on the lake, already described in Roman times. The museum is located in the Radetzky room, a former Habsburg pyrotechnic laboratory in the 19th century, located inside the Bastione San Marco of the 16th century. In the museum you can appreciate original material, such as boats, nets and tools used by fishermen, photos and curiosities that have characterized life on Lake Garda. The Fishing Museum has dedicated audioguides, which can be rented at the entrance.
