Fresh, young, “standard” or “basic” Lugana is the driving force and foundation stone for the denomination as a whole: it accounts for almost 90% of the DOC’s wines.
It is a wine with a pale straw yellow colour and greenish highlights; its nose is delicately floral, with a hint of almonds, while on the palate it is fresh, pleasantly citrus-like and long.

The Lugana Superiore was officially introduced in 1998, and in order to bear this label the wine must age or mature for at least one year after the grapes are harvested. Its profile is more variegated and complex: the colour has a more golden reflexes, with more articulated aromas, hints of wild herbs, chlorophyll, ripe apple, citrus (primarily mandarin), mixed with notes of filbert nuts or spices from the wood used in the aging process (ever less new and green these days, with greater capacity); its mouth feel has greater structure, supported by lively yet supple acidity crossed with a hint of minerals that confer to the wine a very subtle and intriguing "saltiness".

The Lugana Riserva, introduced with the last revision of the production standards this year, is the natural evolution of the Superior: it must age or mature for at least 24 months, 6 of which in a bottle, has brighter colours, more evolved and complex aromas with smoky notes and balsamic reflexes, warmer mineral notes on the palate but otherwise just as enveloping, luscious, and persistent.

The last two types of Lugana foreseen by the standards have peculiar characteristics. The foremost novelty obviously is Vendemmia Tardiva, a remarkably different, more "experimental" type of Lugana that lacks the sweet viscosity of a traditional passito. Lugana of this type is in fact made with "over-ripened" grapes that have been allowed to remain on the vine till the end of Octoberearly November, instead of being harvested and then stored till suitably dry. The rich, more concentrated flavour of these grapes confer to this Lugana a "late" profile, softer and denser but not excessively sweet, where sugar content is balanced by acidity in a fashion similar to Alsatian Vendange Tardive or German Spätlese wines.

The sparkling version has been included in the production regulations since 1975, and represents in spite of the limited number of bottles produced a well-established traditional category of Lugana. As Camillo Pelizzari describes in his fundamental book "La Lugana e il suo vino" of 1942, towards the end of the 19th century a group of businessmen from Champagne who were visiting San Martino della Battaglia tried without any great success (because of scarce production) to invest in making a sparkling version of Lugana. Indeed, they actually wanted to create a winery at Rivoltella for the production of a Classic Method sparkling wine along the lines of Champagne. Today Lugana Spumante is produced both by the Charmat (or Martinotti) method (prise de mousse in pressurized tanks) and the Classic Method (refermentation in bottle). In the former case, the taste profile displays greater simplicity and freshness, with primary aromas of citrus fruits (especially citrons) and a creamier, more generous perlage, while in the latter it becomes more refined and complex, with a more elegant, lively bouquet and a more graceful, "crisp" perlage.
Per tradizione i primi grappoli della vendemmia sono destinati alla produzione del Chiaretto, un fragrante rosato, tra i primi vini italiani ad aver ottenuto il riconoscimento della denominazione di origine controllata, il 21 luglio 1967.
La tecnica di vinificazione, intuita in tempi remoti e codificata già nell'Ottocento dal senatore veneziano Pompeo Molmenti, che aveva casa e vigne a Moniga del Garda, ha ricevuto una precisa normativa nel 1962 dal Consorzio Tutela Vini Bresciani.
Per caratterizzare il Chiaretto è indispensabile un parziale contatto del mosto con le vinacce, perché da queste si possano estrarre il colore ed alcune sostanze fondamentali. Se il tempo di contatto è troppo breve, il vino è scialbo, incompleto, di colore non ben definito. Se si eccede, anche per poco, il vino diventa un mezzo rosso impersonale, troppo vinoso, senza particolari caratteristiche. Si capisce quindi che l’uomo debba saper cogliere “l’attimo fuggente” per separare il mosto dalle bucce: di anno in anno questo varia in funzione dell’andamento stagionale e quindi del grado di maturazione e sanità delle uve stesse.
In pochi altri processi produttivi è tanto fondamentale la sensibilità dell’uomo che deve applicare la tecnologia come arte: solo un’antica tradizione ha consentito di svilupparla nel tempo, senza di essa gli apporti tecnici seguenti, per raffinati e moderni, non raggiungerebbero lo scopo. Le moderne tecniche di vinificazione, ed in particolare un accurato uso del controllo della temperature nel corso della fermentazione, consentono di esaltare i profumi intensi di piccoli frutti di bosco e di fiori.
E' un vino dal colore paglierino con riflessi verdolini brillante. Odore fresco, delicato e caratteristico con eventuali toni floreali. Sapore armonico, vellutato con leggera vena salina ed eventuale retrogusto leggermente ammandorlato. Si sposa bene con cibi raffinati, come pesci di lago, di mare, crostacei, frutti di mare, sformati di verdure, piatti di riso e alla cucina delicata in generale
E' un vino dal colore rosso rubino brillante. Odore vinoso caratteristico, da giovane può essere fruttato in seguito anche speziato. Sapore sapido, caratteristico fine con salinità caratteristica ed eventuale retrogusto ammandorlato. L'accostamento ideale è con piatti a base di carni rosse, arrosti e umidi, ma anche carpaccio e tartara, selvaggina da piuma e formaggi stagionati.
E' un vino dal colore rosso rubino brillante. Odore vinoso, fresco, fruttato, caratteristico, leggermente speziato. Sapore vellutato, sapido, gentile, con fondo ammandorlato. Ottenuti dalla varietà più tipica della zona, il Groppello, questi vini sanno esprimere per la loro complessità organolettica la tradizione secolare dell'enologia della Valtenesi. L'accostamento ideale è con pastasciutte, carni rosse, arrosti, spiedi, cacciagione, salumi, formaggi freschi e stagionati. Fuori pasto la qualità Riserva diventa un nobile vino da degustazione
E' un vino DOC di produzione Garda-Veneto ottenuto principalmente dalle uve corvine, rondinella e vitigni minori. Il suo colore è rosso rubino chiaro brillante che si trasforma in granato con l'invecchiamento. Fruttato con leggero profumo delicato.

Il Nosiola è un vino bianco Trentino D.O.C. prodotto anche nelle zone dell'alto Garda ed è utilizzato anche per la produzione del tradizionale Vino Santo Trentino definito "Il Passito dei Passiti". Il sentore è quella della nocciola sevatica da cui prende il nome nosiola
