A natural oasis, which formed by the retreat of the glacier during the last glaciation. For bird watchers it is the perfect place, because here is possible to admire numerous aquatic birds, many of which use this area for nesting. The area extends over 75/80 hectares, for a length of 770 m and a width of 380 m.

This is the largest island among the Garda islands, open to tourist visits since 2002, it is also known by the name of Borghese Island. The island area was inhabited since ancient times, as evidenced by the findings in 1864, which consist in ancient houses and the remains of stilts; the island was abandoned in the centuries of decline of the Roman Empire and became a refuge for pirates. In 1220 St. Francis of Assisi visited the island and considering it the ideal place for a community of friars, so he convinced the owner to give him the area. In 1227 the hermitage welcomed Saint Anthony of Padua and in 1304 Dante Alighieri, who remembered this enchanting place in the Divine Comedy.
The Villa
A building surrounded by greenery in Venetian neo-Gothic style, designed by the architect Luigi Rovelli in the early years of the last century; it looks like an imposing building, rich in architectural details, which houses inside a beautiful 18th century painting by Carlo Carloni.
Moreover, at its foot it has terraces and Italian gardens.
The Gardens
On the central terrace in front of the Villa, there is a garden in a classic Italian style: with modeled hedges representing various figures, including the coat of arms of the De Ferrari family, creator of the garden. Next to the villa, palm trees from the Canaries grow, while on the lower terrace, by the lake, there are fruit trees such as: lemons, olive trees, oranges; in addition, various types of roses, bougainvillea and many other plants of rare beauty are also cultivated.
The park
The most evocative and wild part is found in the flat area of the island, where there are cypresses, oaks, cedars, and more typically Mediterranean shrubs. This park still remains a well-kept secret, recently opened to the sensitivity of visitors.

The Garda Thermal Park extends over an area of ����13 hectares, surrounded by rare plants and centennial trees, with thermal lakes, swimming pools, whirlpools and fountains. The hot thermal water comes from two layers at a depth of 200 and 160 meters. Inside the Thermal Park there is a luxury hotel, Villa dei Cedri, which is an 18th century villa with elegant rooms equipped with a Jacuzzi with thermal water. There is also a large Wellness Center that offers numerous experiences. In addition, the Sports Center, including a semi-covered thermal pool and gym, in which are offered Medical Fitness services with motor programs for all needs as well as numerous dedicated treatments.

Punta San Viglio is a beautiful peninsula in the municipality of Garda. You can visit the Baia delle Sirene or go to the San Vigilio inn. Also reachable by boat, it is a very romantic place to admire the sunsets.

It is a wetland called "San Francesco", which became a natural monument in order to protect a territory of high naturalistic value and landscape value. The area is open to the public only in part to preserve its integrity and is accessible above all for guided and educational visits. There is an educational room with information signs and then there is a wooden walkway leads to an observation shed. There are about a hundred species during different periods of the year including the Little Egret, the Mallard and the Mute Swan. Furthermore, there are many species that nest in this area.

The Municipality of Manerba is committed to safeguarding and enhancing the natural and landscape features of the area, prohibiting and limiting activities that are incompatible with the nature reserve, such as hunting, building extensions and the circulation of motor vehicles.
Riparo Valtenesi
Riparo Valtenesi is a natural terrace, which directly overlooks the Lake. It is located at the foot of the high cliff of Mount Sasso and it measures about 60m in length and 90m in depth.
The Sasso Beach
The small Sasso Beach is considered by many to be the most beautiful beach in Manerba due to its crystal clear waters and the charm of the paths that lead to it. The Bus de la Paùl lake also overlooks the beach, which can be visited summer, accompanied by CAI mountain guides.

This green area was recently inaugurated. It has an amphitheatre and a suggestive walkway, which leads near the banks of Garda Lake and the port of Sirmione. It represents the ideal place to enjoy a moment of peace and tranquillity.

Nel 1971, nel corso di ricerche subacquee, vengono individuati numerosi pali lignei infissi nel fondale presso la località di S. Sivino: si tratta di un insediamento palafitticolo che si sviluppa su un fronte di circa 150 m, con una profondità compresa tra 10 e 50 m dalla riva, dove poteva vivere una popolazione stabile di alcune decine di abitanti, un numero certamente significativo per quei tempi. Le dimensioni dei pali variano da un minimo di 5 aun massimo di 40 cm e prevale l'uso del legno di quercia. I manufatti in ceramica, bronzo e pietra rinvenuti durante gli scavi, sono databili tra l'inizio dell'Età del Bronzo Antico e il pieno Bronzo Medio (2100-1400 a.C.) e presentano caratteristiche analoghe a quelle riscontrabili presso gli altri insediamenti palafitticoli del basso Garda.

Located to the south of Cavalcaselle, it represents the symbol of the community. Here they encamped, the shepherds and their flocks during the transhumance, waiting to ferry the Mincio river below. The Park of idroscalo connects the pedestrian path to Lake Desenzano-Rivoltella with double entrance. The new "Idroscalo Park" extends over a large area, roughly corresponding to the green area of the Golden Beach. The park, with dirt paths, is lit with street lamps and there are benches and tables. There is also a rich series of centennial tall trees.
The Sebino Torbic Nature Reserve, declared a "wetland of international importance" according to the Ramsar Convention and the Natura 2000 Community Site (SIC) site, is considered a priority area for biodiversity in the Lombard Padana Plain. This is due to the variety of habitats and species, aquatic-palusters, precious or of Community interest present in the territory, rare or at risk of extinction in Lombardy and Italy.

Madonna della Rosa's Sanctuary
The Madonna della Rosa sanctuary is located at the most panoramic point of the hill called Monte della Madonna. According to popular tradition, the temple was built on the site of the miraculous apparition of the Virgin to a thirsty farmer, to whom he pointed to the source for his refusal. There was also a rosé on the place where Madonna appeared. The architecture of the church recalls similar structures of the fifteenth century: rectangular turned presbytery and unique classroom with a hut roof supported by transversal arches. In the 16th century the construction of the bell tower dates back to the 17th century and the protire was built in front of the entrance and the chapel on the south side. Inside there are frescoes made chronologically from the XV to the XVIII century. In 1833 the Austrian troops who had been camped had to leave the sanctuary because the well water had run out. Once the soldiers left, it seems that water, as it is said in popular tradition, has returned to its natural home.
Itinerary

After parking near the Monticelli Brusati sports center, head to the right of the sports center, taking a cyclopedonian track that will shortly cross between fields and vineyards, offering a splendid view over the church of San Zenone in the 15th century. At the intersection with the mule track you hold the right in the direction of the small fraction of Costa. The cyclopedonal goes up to the inhabited center and enters the asphalt road: right in front of you, at the intersection with the road, opens a narrow alley downhill: take it up to slip on the main road that crosses for Continue right. Keeping on the sidewalk continues to the center of the hamlet of Fontana; The road bends slightly to the right until you get to a crossroads: you take the left slightly uphill until you return to the dirt road. Here you leave the asphalt road and take the path-life that walks the hill to your right. Keeping on this path you gain the top of the hill where the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rose rises. The Padenghe sul Garda Museum of Work contains a collection of about seven thousand pieces of the 700s, 800s and '900s recovered by Gianfranco and Giovanbattista Zuliani through the removal of attics and cellars and through the word of the friends. The collection of all the objects contained in this exhibition began in the 1980s, while the initial arrangement began in 1995. Within the Work Museum you can see, among the many things present:

Laghetto Park is located near the municipal swimming pools and it is the perfect place to spend a day full of fun, in contact with nature. The ideal place for adults, children, families, sports lovers and four-legged friends. Inside the park it is possible to take walks, either on foot or by bike, and picnics. It is also well equipped for sports, in fact there are: a skatepark, an ice rink, two basketball courts, a 6-a-side football field, a children's play area and in addition there are an equipped area for dogs and a refreshment area.
